Entry

The 2017 GJW Direct National Championships are open to all Lark sailors and anybody interested in coming along to crew, or to borrow a boat. 2017 is the 50th Anniversary of the Lark Class so it is sure to be a memorable event both on and off the water.

The format will be similar to the successful format used in 2016, with 4 days of racing starting on Saturday and finishing on Tuesday. The Lark Nationals are famous for well organised racing, and for the friendly atmosphere both on and off the water. 2017 will be no exception!

Brixham Yacht Club is one of the most famous clubs on the South Coast. Founded in 1937 they have a huge bank of experience having hosted many Championships. Launching is safe from inside the harbour, and the club benefits from easy access into Torbay, one of the best bays for sailing on the South Coast.

The Larks were last at Brixham in 2009 attracting 55 entries. For those who were lucky enough to attend they may remember the great selection of accommodation, superb food served at the club, and for those with really good memories the Noah's Ark Party, and the strong showing from the Waldringfield boats – filling 5 of the top 6 places!

If you have any questions or queries please do contact us via the e-mail address nationals@larkclass.org. If you want to come along but have no boat, or you have a boat, but no crew, or helm, we really do want to hear from you so that we can help. We are also keen to hear from Lark sailors who have never done the Nationals before, but are thinking of coming along for the 50th year.
