In reply to various comments under a prevous post on the NOR, the NOR has been revised , but are contained in the latest NOR (v.5 dated 18-7-2010). Hopefully this will be added to the website - or e-mail me on nigel@huftons.plus.com). Please note:
1. The RYA Arbitration and Exoneration Penalty Procedures will be available to competitors. They will be explained at the briefing on Saturday evening
2. Rule 67 has not been added (Re: Smashie's enquiry)
3. There some amends to the race prize names. However, in answer to Emma's request - effectively we do call the races by the name of the prize, but each needs to have a number, too, so that we can keep track of which race was which when races get abandoned/postponed. Also, Sailwave doesn’t allow a race name to be put in)
4. There is no need to add the dates of the RRS we are sailing to (as per RRS Appendix K1) - the 'Racing Rules of Sailing' MEANS the 2009-12 versions (doh).
5. On-the-water umpiring will not be conducted. owever, I have tabled it as a discussion point at the AGM, to see if there is interest, should the opportunity arise in future.
